The Outdoor Adventures Club is a student organization at the University of Alabama. Our purpose is to bring together interested members of the University and surrounding community who enjoy being in the outdoors and spending time with like-minded individuals.  We help these people come together and provide a place to plan out trips, meet new people, learn new skills, and try new types of activities! We do our best to facilitate all types of trips that our members want to take from hiking and backpacking to scuba diving to rock climbing.

Membership is the primary driving force behind the Outdoor Adventures Club: all ideas for trips come directly from club members.  We will gather suggestions, have everyone decide what they would most like to do, and plan trips accordingly.  We will offer the opportunity for members to form a group to plan out the details and logistics of the trips they are interested in, led by a club member with experience in that activity.

Club officers are elected near the end of the school year by the entire club.  During the period between the elections and the final meeting of the year, the newly elected officers will shadow the leaving officers to learn their new duties so that the club may run as smoothly as possible.  Collectively, active officers compose the Executive Committee, which is responsible for running the club.
